The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce is a founding partner of the Saskatchewan Financial Literacy Network (SFLN), alongside representatives from the Saskatoon Industry Education Council, Affinity Credit Union. the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, Square One/SREDA and other organizations.
Recently, the SFLN has hired a new summer student who is tasked to help plan events for the financial literacy month in November, build a financial literacy newsletter, and also help with the creation of this website.
The SFLN is excited to start helping various groups across the province through this very website, making available the resources, tools, and programs necessary to help improve financial literacy,
Research into Financial Literacy needs
Last November we held a gathering and asked the opinions of groups representing different groups throughout Saskatchewan including Aboriginal, Youth & Seniors.
Changes to K-12 Financial Literacy Curriculum
One of the goals of the SFLN is to one day help in the assistance of introducing a K-12 Financial Literacy Curriculum that will aid students and give them the skills needed to become financially aware.
Online Resource Database
The SFLN will create an online resource database with the tools and resources that are available to you, focusing on helping the people of Saskatchewan.
